The contents:

The course teaches what are the steps you need to follow when faced with day-to-day dilemmas. The Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation i.e. the CPR is the first line of action taught in the course. It the process followed when encountered with a person who has fainted due to lack of oxygen reaching his/her lungs. This situation can be seen either when the victim was pulled out form water while drowning or with an asthma attack or any condition when the patient loses conscious. This is when the person giving first aid is supposed to give mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration to clear the windpipes of the patient and make the air pass through. The other training itineraries taught are as follows:
1) In case of snakebite, you need to tie the sides of the bitten area tightly so as to stop the poison to spread in other body parts.
2) When the patient has suffered burn wounds the immediate remedy should be to put cold water on the injury and not wrap it up with a blanket as traditionally assumed. Pouring water on the burns not only subsidizes the smolder but also relieves the pain and the sting.
3) When you have a broken bone situation, what you need to do is align the broken limb to its original position and tie a hard straight piece of wood or any other supporting material to it. This will support the bone and reduce the pain as it restricts the broken bone's movement.

Above mentioned are just a handful of tips out of the entire course of first aid. By the examples it is evident that first aid is an undoubted requirement of daily life.
